There’s only so much we can do at home without getting bored. We have been locked down for two years and we are running out of ideas to entertain ourselves. Even the socially aversed are craving for human contact and travelling. I’m talking about myself. LOL. I’m usually a homebody but after two years of homestay, I couldn’t even stand the word ‘home.’ Precisely why I introduced myself to virtual tours. The first of which was to Russia.
True that it is nowhere compared to actual travelling but it can relax you a little. You get to learn a thing or two about the culture, see beautiful sceneries, virtually go around a city. Ergo, I came with a list of the five best virtual tours people are missing out on.

5 Best Virtual Tours
1. Airpano
My first virtual tour to Russia was on Airpano. This is a really great place to learn about different places around the world.
They offer both 360° photo and 360° video tours. Obviously, video is better in most cases. And this is also free of cost. You can visit so many places without paying a penny.
2. The China Guide
The China guide. This website also offers you a private tour to plan. Isn’t that great? Unlike Airpano, this is not free. But obviously, a private tour gives you a better experience.
It’s more personalized, interactive, and enjoyable. This is definitely a level up in virtual tours. If you want a demo first, there are a few free versions you can try and then decide.
3. Google Arts & Culture
Another great option and also free. Google arts & culture. You can virtually visit museums, Eiffel tower, or go whale watching. Not just that, there are also interactive experiments which are so fun. When you get a chance, try ‘Blob Opera,’ it’s so good.
You simply require an account on Gmail which I’m pretty sure you already have.
Just log in and enjoy the wonders of the world.
4. Access Mars
This one is out of the Earth. You can experience a replica of the Martian environment in 3D. Go to access Mars and a 360° virtual tour of Mars awaits you. You can control and move the picture with your mouse pointer, like any other virtual tour.
5. Visit Orlando
You can tour many places on their website— Visit Orlando. The best part of this website is they customize the experience for people with visual impairments. One can customize their profile according to their need and instantly it changes.

The five of the best virtual tour websites out there. Honestly, I’m yet to explore some of these more but my two favourites here are Airpano and Google arts & culture. If you could have a budget, the China guide also has the potential to give you a memorable tour.
