I wrote a content piece for an art gallery recently and that’s when I thought to visit the best virtual art galleries in the online town. And guess what, I found some of the amazing web galleries that there are. I’m a writer but I sometimes take inspiration from art.
So I want you to have the same experience. That is why I created a list of 5 virtual art galleries that I came across and would most definitely recommend you to have your own private viewing. At the comfort of your home.
5 Magnificent Web Art Galleries
Life is short, Art is long.
This one expression speaks volumes about art.
If you ask me what this world needs more of, I’d say art. Let it be literary, visual, or performance, this world needs more art and artists. And of course, art lovers like you.
It amplifies the beauty of this world.
Though we may not travel around the globe to explore the art of every nation, we sure can take a glimpse of it in the virtual space.
So this is the first one on the list —
1. The Louvre Art Museum
The best. All the time I was viewing the gallery I was enthralled by the beautiful art. I constantly wondered how majestic it would be to visit this in flesh. Obviously, it would be tenfold more wonderful, but virtual is also not like you’ve seen.
2. The British Museum
Equally beautiful. This is the world’s first public national museum. There are both free and paid programs on their website. You can find something that fits your taste and style and go on an amazing art tour. I’m quite certain that you will be transported (mentally) to a different time and place.
3. The Vatican Museum
Nothing new to quote. Like every other gallery I’ve listed, The Vatican Museum is also splendidly spectacular.
4. Seoul National Museum
It’s been a low-key wish of mine to visit Seoul someday so I was very excited to have found this chance to virtually visit the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art located in Seoul.
One of the best places I’ve been to, virtually speaking.
5. Google Art & Culture
This app has been on my mobile for a while now and it’s quite a pleasant experience. I get to view some of the amazing art pieces from ages back and there are also some artistic interactive experiences. You’ll know when you get there.
That’s all.
There might have been many more but these are a few that I liked and thought you might as well. Hope you’re glad to know about these.
Life is all about experiences and I agree, nothing beats travelling and experiencing things in reality. But when it is difficult to do that, you can partially satisfy your enthusiasm virtually. Thanks to the advancement of technology, we can do that now. And not in some paltry quality, but elegantly.
Try it out and comment on which of these is your favourite. I’ll see you next time.
LOVE,
Nikki.
