5 Easy Ways To Fight Off Your Bad Days

We have good days and we have bad days. There’s nothing much we want to do about good days because we like them but what are we gonna do about the bad days? What else, try to turn our bad days into good days. I know it’s very difficult but it’s not impossible if we set our minds to it. I have 5 ways you can fight off your bad days.

1. Look at your reflection and say a few nice things

I love doing this. This gives me so much pleasure and confidence. If there’s anything I do every single day, that is looking at myself in the mirror and smiling as bright as I can. It instantly makes my mood and my day better. The more you do it, the more you will know how impactful it is.

I talked about this old habit of mine here in this video. Check it out to understand better.

2. Don’t start your day in a rush

The way you start your day impacts the rest of your day. So don’t rush into your day. Consider having an appropriate length of time between the time you wake up and the time you go to work. Start it positively and calmly, like you own that day.

Don’t just wake up, stuff your face with breakfast, and hurry off to work, like they show in movies. It only looks fun and good on screen. In reality, it’s best to have it calm.

3. Understand the facts

Get your facts straight. Whenever you have a bad day, remind yourself that it’s just a passing cloud. This too shall pass. Bad days are not gonna stay forever. They will disappear in no time just as they appeared out of nowhere.

4. Pray before you go

If you believe in God, it’s a prayer and if not, consider it as a little self-talk. This is a way to practice gratitude. Say thank you for all the things you have received and ask yourself nicely to do your best like you always do.

Say thank you first and then make a request.

You have always done your best and you will always do. Affirm that belief and start your day.

5. Dress up nicely

Don’t stay in your pajamas with a bucket of ice cream next to you and thinking it over and over again. Looking at yourself all dressed up can make your mood better. Moreover, just because you are having a bad day doesn’t mean you should sit in one corner and brood over anything that made you upset. So, get ready and keep moving ahead.

Don’t be stuck up at one point. No matter what it is, you must keep moving on ahead.

And lastly, have a heartfelt talk with someone you are close to. It might be a friend, a parent or a sibling. We have so much to say inside but we never say it out loud. Sometimes, it might work that way but not all the time. At times, we need emotional support and it is up to us to ask for it when we need it. There’s no shame in doing that.

Do not bottle up all your feelings inside. Just have a heart to heart with someone and you will feel much better.

So, these are the five ways you can fight off your bad days. If you are going through it, I hope you will try these things and feel better. Even if these don’t work for you, keep trying. Keep trying until you find some way out. That’s how you make things better. By trying your best.

Good luck!

Until next time,

Nikki.
