Little things, Big changes

A baby’s little giggle can bring out a wave of emotion in us, a blessing from your grandma can give strength, and a puppy’s wiggling tail can bring a smile. Just like such little things, there are many more that have the potential to bring big changes in our lives. It is evident from such wee acts that any small gesture, word, or habit can change someone’s life.

There’s this time in my life when I felt absolutely lost and then, exactly then, I happen to hear a few kind words from someone unknown that it brought me back on the right track. If I hadn’t had that experience probably I wouldn’t even have believed that something that little can bring such big changes.

So because I’m saying this from my own experience you have to believe me.

To say, I have listed a few things I started in hope that they will bring good changes in my life. It’s too soon to decide that but I’ve seen a great deal of difference in how my day goes and the positive impact on my mindset.

Find a new angle

Every so often I find a new path to walk through. I like to see things from an altogether different angle so it can inspire a fresh perspective. Don’t we all want a tad bit of newness to our days so it’ll be exciting.

During my evening walks I try to distance myself a bit from my usual path to get a wider view. Honestly, it is such an amazing breather from all the monotony. When I’m a creative rut, this is my trick to get the creative juices flowing.

Self-talk

I don’t know how but I have a habit of talking to myself. We all do self-talk, inside our minds, nothing new. But I like to talk to myself as if I’m a different person. Sometimes, I see myself and the things I do from a third person’s point of view, which helps me find the right reasons and the right motivation.

And more importantly, I always say nice things to myself and about myself. If I don’t find any nice things to say, I don’t say anything at all.

Words have power

Choose ‘I can’ instead of ‘I can’t’, ‘Investment’ instead of ‘expense’, ‘beautiful soul’ instead of ‘beautiful body’, ‘ability’ instead of ‘weakness’. Tell me one word you want to find a positive version.

A habit I made this year is using “Investments” instead of “expenses” in my monthly money management report.

Another tiny thing I learned in 2021 is about “give and receive” principle of money. When you are thinking about incoming money, you should also think about giving money, as in ‘Charity’. It is gratifying.

Yes.

That’s all.

I think you got a good deal of value and inspiration from my experiences. Share your learnings in the comments.

As you know, I’m always eager to see your comments.

I’ll see you soon again.

Cheers,

Nikki.

We appreciate your visit. Thank you.
