I work around ten hours every day; I don’t have time for a ten-step Korean skincare routine. A minimal skincare routine is what I want. Something that isn’t too time-consuming yet effective. Unless I’m a model or an actress, I can’t find so much time to spend on beauty care. I know I’m not the only one who thinks that. There are many women who want to know how to put together a minimal skincare routine for themselves.
Let me tell you, there’s no one way or answer to this. You’ll find it when you find it.
Until then, you must try different products to find the right ones for your skin. Of course, it’s also not only about the products, skincare is also about eating the right food, getting enough sleep, and having a happy mindset.
Recently, I discovered a couple of Plum products in my skincare treasure. They were collecting dust as I became too lazy/busy these days to give my skin proper care. So I finally gave them a try. One is Plum green tea toner and the other is green tea mattifying moisturiser.
My day starts at 8 O’clock every day. Before my work jumps off, I use Plum toner and moisturiser. That’s all. It’s as minimal as it can get. They set off my skin type (mine’s combination type) perfectly and are my two favourite skincare products this year.
Both these products are quite moisturizing on the skin. After one application in the morning, the skin feels moisturised all day long. The toner is super light and refreshing, and the moisturiser is gently mattifying. I really loved the way it prevents skin from drying while keeping it matte. This is my first time trying a mattifying moisturiser and I feel it’s what I’ve been missing out on all these days.
The combination of these two Plum products can also prep your skin well before applying makeup. If you are against buying expensive primers, these products can be your best alternatives.
The price of the toner is 312 INR for 200 ml and the mattifying moisturiser is 376 INR for 50 ml. I’m using complimentary products I received from an app called ‘Smytten.’ You can also try the app if you like. Use my referral code to sign up and get a free gift on your first order. (It’s a win-win!)
In conclusion, I’m quite happy with these products.
This is how I came to figure out my minimal skincare routine.
I definitely recommend these to you. Try them and see if they work for you as they did for me. They are vegan, cruelty-free and paraben-free; suitable for oily, combination, and acne-prone skin types.
I know what you might be thinking; if this is really enough?
It is, for me. You never know until you try.
I hope you found something worth trying through this article, if so, leave a comment and let me know your thoughts. I’ll see you soon again, perhaps with another product review. (I’ve something in my mind.)
Love,
Nikki.
