I’m really happy today.
Are you thinking why? What’s my reason to be happy?
Just. For absolutely no reason.
I’m happy. Thanks to nothing but myself.
We all grew up thinking that we need a reason to be happy. Even I thought so until yesterday, mistook some as “Not good enough” reasons to be happy. But I realized that it’s not necessarily true all the time.
And frankly, that is one of the reasons for unhappiness. Needing a reason.
You know why?
When I’m happy for a reason, I never enjoyed it to the fullest. I felt I shouldn’t be too happy and jinx it and I even was worried that the reason for my happiness might change soon. And it will, obviously.
But when I’m happy for no reason, I’m truly happy. I’m happy without any worry or fear. I savoured the present moment.
At that point, I understood being happy for no reason is real happiness.
And I also realized that being happy without any reason is possible.
We waste so much time trying to find a reason to be happy but if you have the will to be happy just, everything seems to be a good enough reason.
I wish every one of us gets a chance to enjoy that pure bliss.
So next time when you hear someone say they are happy, don’t ask why; just say “I’m glad you are”.
Ergo, when someone asks me how to be happy, I decided to answer this;
“Don’t ask how; just be.”
This brings me back to my very first thought, “how old I would be if I count only the days I was happy?”
Did you ever ask yourself this question? It’s never too late.
I hope you will find more beautiful answers than me.
Once again, happiness is created not found.
Until next time,
Lots of LOVE,
Nikki.
