My New Year’s Resolutions 2019

Hello-o, amigos!! How were your New Year’s celebrations? Did you have fun? I’m sure you did. You know what my New year’s eve included? Books, music, and movies. Quite a peaceful start! And by the way, did you see my new fashion series on the blog that I started this year??? If not, you should. “Vibe Today #2: Welcoming 2019 in retro style.

It’s been a week and I know I’m a little late but it’s never too late to make a good resolution. So, that’s why I’m here, to let you know what my New Year’s resolutions are. If you can find some inspiration out of it, I’d be more than happy. You might also read my last year 15 smarter New Year goals for more ideas.

I’ve always put most of my resolutions in a way that helps me grow as an individual and keeps my mental health intact. That has always been a priority for me. This year also, I did just the same but also a couple of work-related ones. So… without any more further ado, lets dive into it.

1. Pray everyday

I always find praying as a kind of stress buster, something that gets your focus right, something that calms you down and helps you look inside yourself. I always loved a good prayer and I still do but last year I couldn’t do it enough due to the work. It makes my mind fresh and peaceful. It’s only synonymous to meditation. Ergo, I decided to do it more often this year. I’d make sure to keep some time off of my work schedule to pray and de-stress. So that’s my first resolution.

2. Read more

During the first half of the last year, I couldn’t read much but later in the next half, I read quite a lot and found more pleasure in reading than the usual. So this year, I made a promise to myself that I’d read more good books. It’s a wonderful way to spend more time with yourself.

3. Make a work plan and stick to it

Having a work plan is very important and I’m going to stick to it this time. I’ve been someone who just goes with the flow, never really made a work plan ever but this year, I’d want to give it a try. And the plan is also ready, let’s just hope I’d stick to it.

4. Make a note of your expenses

With these debit and credit cards, we have been squandering more money than required without even knowing how much and how often we’re spending. So, I decided to make a note of every penny I’ve spent in a month so that I could control my expenses.

5. Make a new investment

This is the only resolution in 2019 that’s monetary based but this is also important for any person to feel good about themselves. Hence, I decided to keep a resolution such as this. However small it is, I wanted to make a new investment in 2019. And, luckily, I also could do that in the first week of the year itself. It’s only the basic amount but still, I kept up with my resolution already. So, that’s a check. Ooh, it feels great to check one of the resolutions in the initial days of the year itself.

So… these are pretty much my New Year’s resolutions 2019, for now, I might add something anytime later. What are your resolutions for 2019?

See You Soon,

Nikki.
