How wonderful it would be to hear success stories, right!? That’s why I thought of bringing a success story in front of you today. It is the story of a girl who is living her dream. So, let’s get your dosage of motivation for the day! Probably three years ago, I met this girl called Sumana Malladi in a Facebook group while searching for a fashion designer. That time she was just another girl who was trying her luck in the fashion industry. Since the day I know her, I have seen her career taking shape as a fashion designer on a daily basis. I firmly believe that as far as success is concerned, nobody gets lucky. Success requires so much more, rather than just being born under a lucky star.
When I asked how her journey as a fashion designer has begun, she said “It all started during my graduation days. I was never interested in the grades. But I am good with the general ideology and the imagination of art. Most of the girls go shopping with their moms. In my case, I am a daddy’s girl. He is the inspiration behind Sumana Collections. I love his choices, and how quick he is with ’em.
I was terrified of not being a great student, but again I was confident about my future somehow. So, I started listing out the things I am good at. The first thing that popped into my mind is fashion, and without any shadow of a doubt, I got started with it.
I jumped to the last bench and started sketching my teacher’s outfits for fun. All my mates in the college encouraged me. I was scared initially, but the client reviews were my all-time motivation for the next projects. The day I started “Sumana Collections,” I took an oath to myself of delivering a quality product on time to the customer’s satisfaction. I still stick to those words.”
Sumana Malladi has also become one in the television fraternity of late. She’s started designing for some of the television hosts and celebrities. True that hard work has to be paid off someday.
Though Sumana is good at every style, she is at her best with designing beautiful ethnic clothing. She has a knack for it. Have a glimpse at some of her best ones!
